EBoss - ARC International ripoff dishonest dealings rude customer service Industry California
I was looking for a computer for my parents, whos computer recently died, and we were short on cash so I was looking for the best price possible. I found ARC international who deals in remanufactured computers in City of industry so I could drive there and not have to pay shipping.
So my brother and I go down there to order one of their systems. They told me when I got there that the person that could help me was out to lunch and to come back in forty five minutes. Once I came back he had me sit down at a computer and order it from their internet site. He told me that the system would be ready for pick-up in 2 to 3 days and they would call me when its ready.
On the fourth day I called because I was concerned about my order being filled and a person by the name of Ming, I believe, told me that my system was ready. I went to pick it up that day on friday and to my dismay he couldn't find my system and said that it wasn't ready and said it would be ready later that day and he would call me when its ready. So I drive back home and wait. I get a message around 4:30 on my cell that Ming called at 4:00 and the computer was ready but they are only open till 5:00 and they aren't open on weekends. I knew that I couldn't make it to city of industry in 30 minutes.
I had to wait until monday to pick up my system, so I went and picked it up then. I was happy that it was all finally done with. However, when I got home and began setting the computer up, it kept freezing and there was nothing I could do to fix it. I call customer service and they tell me that I can bring it in tomorrow morning to get fixed.
I go in the next morning and end up waiting for thirty minutes for the receptionist to get someone to come help me(During that time a sheriff's deputy came to serve a court summmons). Finally a tech comes out and drags me to the other side of the warehouse to try to fix the computer, he makes no progress and actually leaves for about 15 minutes for some reason. He then takes me back to the place I came in and troubleshoots it for a while longer. He disappears back into the warehouse for a while then brings back another computer which he begins swapping all the parts from my computer into.
By this time I was getting pretty upset, but I held my tongue. After a total of about 2 hours of this a middle eastern man who I hadn't even talked to told the tech to stop working on the computer because he didn't like my attitude(I was sick at the time and feeling tired so I was laying on the couch they had). They refunded my money but I was steaming mad because I had to drive down there 4 times at a round trip of about 70 miles each time and they just decided that I had no right to be a little upset.
Anyways, don't be fooled by the good prices they have, it's not worth the frustration to deal with these unprofessional people.
