It is tough enough to buy college books at the high prices one is charged, but selling them back at pennies on the dollar adds insult to injury, and to be stalled, shammed, delayed, not paid, throws salt on the wounds!!!

This company offers to buy used college textbooks, agrees on a price, and sends labels for shipping and postage. It is not too difficult to pack the books up and drop them at a post office for shipping. Then the games begin!

They receive the books, and instead of just sending the check, without informing you, they issue "buyback credit" in their online bookstore. It takes a few emails and at least two or three weeks to figure out that if you want a check you must "cash in your buyback credit."

After cashing in buyback credit, it supposedly takes THIRTY DAYS to issue a check. However, the 30 days have passed, and I have not received a check. I have communicated my dismay and disgust to their bulletproof "customer service" drones over email.

I do not know if I will ever get my money. It is not a huge amount- about thirty bucks and change, so one would expect them to handle it without so much crap. The fact that they rip off the paltry amount in addition to the overall ripoff of buying college books for, maybe 200 or 250 and then getting 30 back the next semester is insulting, aggravating, and even infuriating!!
