Complaint Review: Echostar - Dish Network

I was sold dish system for 4 TV's with 2 free DVR's. 120 plus channels for the cost of $29.99 a month for the first 10 months then goes up to 39.99 plus the 4.99 cost of local channels and 5.98 for DVR fee that I verified with Patrick Reilly, Manager covered both DVR's. Most of this I have in writing.

When the installer came he said they have had many people promised things they don't get so he wanted to review the service order with me. They set me up for only one DVR. I showed him the ad that I responded to and he called the company. This call that lasted about 2 daytime hours on my cell phone costing me money, my land line only has a fax machine on it. They were OK with the 2 dvrs but wanted me to pay to lease one of the 2 free dvrs that was listed in writing on the advertisement. Then they also wanted to charge me 2 DVR fees of $5.98. The deal I was offered was a fee of $5.98 that covered both DVR's.

The installer said that usually these things get corrected so he went ahead moving things in my home to start the installation. He was in my home for 2.5 hours while I was on the phone it was an awful waste of my time. They did not make things right instead I got an earful of you don't own anything so of course you have to lease it and then the service person hung up on me. That was because I told her I was very upset over the waste of my time on top of not being given what I was offered.
