Complaint Review: Eckerd Drugs

I decided to transfer a perciption to the local Eckerds since they are closer and have a drive up window. The pharmacy I use doesn't, and parking is really a problem. On the day I left home to do this I checked my mail and was very pleased and surprized to find a flyer with a $20.00 gift card with a transfer. Seemed like carma to me. Well it was but all BAD!!

I got to the pharmacy went in and the man who came to the drop off window took my perscription, MY INSURANCE CARD and the $20.00 cupon. He rolled his eyes, sighed heavly and yelled at another person behind the counter, "are you gonna do any more transfers today?"

Mind you this is at about 1:30 not near closing time. He then looked at me as if I had crapped in his cereal and asked," Do you need this today?" To which I replied ,"no tommorrow is fine but please DON'T LOSE MY INSURANCE CARD." That was on Friday.

On Sunday (2 days later) I returned to pick it up and to my dismay it had dissapeared, VANISHED!!! I am not in the system and there is no trace of my perscription, the cupon or MY INSURANCE CARD!!! The pharmacist there said that she was filling in and took my name and numbers promising to call when they found it.

I went to CVS and got my medication along with a smile and a thank you. I will never set foot in another Eckerds and have written my insurance company with an explination as to why I need a new card.

I do not care how busy they are; there was no excuse for the treatment I got. I guess since I complained to the store clerk about how rude he was to me I was tossed in the waste basket instead of the transfer basket.

I have talked to all my family members here and they will never use Eckerds again. I was told stories about how rude they were to others when I related what happened to me. I guess this chain just DOES NOT CARE!!
