Complaint Review: Econo Auto Painting & Body Works

Took my 1994 Cadillac to Econo Auto Painting and & Body Works in Raleigh, North Carolina, to have it painted black (already black). It started peeling in less than four months. I took my car back to their shop, they would not honor their warranty (1 year). They have a prorated price on their work. When I took my car back they told me they would repair the work for an additional $80.00. My car now has peeling all around the doors, windows, and front bumper. I will need to get my entire car painted again.

The manager I spoke to became beligerent and threatening. He called other mechanics outside with us while we were discussing this issue. I felt threatened by this increase of personnel being included into this argument. I felt someone was going to jail. I did not want to go to jail, so I took my paperwork and left.

I am filiing this report to warn others not to do business with this company. In this economy money is hard enough to come by without scam artists and slacker companies not giving you your money's worth. Unless you can afford to throw money way, stay away from this company!!
