Complaint Review: ECost - Rebate Systems

I knew it was too good to be true - a $99 rebate on an X2Gen 19" monitor from eCost.com. I wish I had only done a Google search on this racket and I would have come up with this -

I called eCost and they said it was not their responsibility although I would say that the only reason that I purchased from them was their advertised rebate. I needed to purchase a $679 item today that was $20 higher at Amazon and I purchased it from Amazon.com.

I have left several emails on X2Gens covert "rebatesystems.com" website - they have never been answered. I have since reported them to the BBB as of today. We will see how much good that does. I would recommend not doing business with either of these companies since they seem to choose to take the low road when it comes to rebates.
