Paid Mara's 25,000 6/07 for Tallman Waterworld pool. Family went to Tallman Pools(18003055931) in Atlanta for ref on the Mara's. Tallman said OK. Mara's refused to complete pool or provide all equipment. They basically droped pool in ground & left. I had to re-plum pump/filter, install light, grade area, fix skimmer, remove excess rock/sand and many other things. Ed refused to finish or pour concrete. Ed told me he was not going to complete my pool. He later stated he would finish it for me to contact his att. but refused to give me a name or number, He refused to recieve cert mail from me and did not reply to my att.
The Mara's have at least 16 complaints with BBB of PA. I personally know of at least 3 SC Residents they have stole from, including Ocean Reef Pools (8883450267). I have at least 6 different Ripoff reports. Call Frank(6096581829). See BBB (8434882227) case #15012753 or SC Consumer Affairs (8037344200) case #08-01792 A3. I have other Numbers also. All showing the same Rip-off game they play. Take the money and run. Refuse to answer calls and try not to return calls. They even threatened me with physical violence. Mara's have a long history taking family's monies and not compleetly installing their pool. They are Rip-Off Artist and Crooks. Call me for more stories. This guy and his son are criminals. Most recent company is called USA Pool Depot. He also changes his last name to Maira or Marra. He almost always travels with his son Ed JR. and can be easily recognized because he does not have fingers on the right hand. Please e-mail me your story at EdMara.Thief at yahoo.com. I'm collecting evidence to press criminal charges against him and his son.

I would like to begin by stating that Tallman Pools is an extremely reputable company that has been in business for many years. We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and many sterling recommendations from the 1000’s of customers that have a Tallman Pool.
At the time that this pool was sold to Mr. Mara, he was a relatively new dealer of ours and we had received no complaints against him or his company. When it comes to customer complaints about our dealers, we have a strict policy. If they have any unresolved customer complaints, their dealer status is terminated and we no longer sell any pools to them. Over time, this is what happened with Mr. Mara and we immediately stopped selling him pools. We have not done any business with Mr. Mara in over 5 years.
Mr. Mara and his company ripped us off as well and we have since taken legal action against him.
We take pride in our products and our customer service and are very conscientious about the dealers to which we sell our pools. We would never willingly do business with a company that had a poor reputation.

This guy continues to pull the same scam under a new company name Blue Water Fiberglass Pools. The story is the same, sellls a pool, takes the money, doesn't deliver has a million excuses. I also had a simialr issue, please beware this person continues to do the same scam but changes the company name now its Blue Water Fibergalss Pools out of PA. I am in the process of getting the state of NJ to go after this person, please send me any information you can to build the case against this scam artist. my email is granaghan@optonline.com. The Mara's also have a company Tropical Pool/Mountain Sevices in Pa
106 Fox Chase Rd, Stroudsburg, Pa 18360 (5702363190) ED's (PA DL 22987282 )DOB 6/17/57 / Christi's DOB 6/13/57 (SC DL101481343). The dirt and crane companies called me and threaten to put a lein on my property because the Mara's did not pay them. In fact, the Mara gave an inaccurate (false) credit card Number to Allstate Crane (8435721697). Ed's bother Raymond Mara a want-a-be chef(8434957784) does deliveries for him and helps him out. Ed owes me large waterslide and monies to complete project. I have had to hire numerous subcontractors to correct the mess that the Mara's did. The Mara's basically just dropped the pool in the gorund and attempted to plumb it. I had to re-do most of their slopppy work after I had already paid them.
The final bill to complete and correct the mess the Mara's made is about
$15,000.00. Viking Pools (3048846954) terminated them as a installer/dealer and Sun Pools (8007647946)is not associaated with them. They are crooks and will steal your money.
