I ordered a pair of "Extreme Bomber Seats" from Ed Barrett back in April of this year (2010).  Mr. Barrett was very quick with asking about the payment, stating that he was not set up to accept credit card payments yet, but would only be able to accept payment through Western Union.   As soon as payment ($1000) was received by him, that's where the communication abruptly stopped.

With the help of acquaintances in the USA assisting me in tracking down my merchandise, I managed to get some replies and excuses, which varied from tooling problems to warehouse moves to phone line problems... but a month ago they were supposed to be sent "the next day"... AGAIN.   Since then I've had no replies to my calls or emails, when you call you just get to leave a message.

Here are the timeline details:

Funds received on 4-28-10 (verified via e-mail from Mr. Barrett)
Amount:  $1000.00 USD

Shipping dates and ongoing delays provided on this order:

April 30th, 2010 or  May 3rd, 2010
May 7th, 2010
June 4th or 7th, 2010
June 25th, 2010
July 14th, 2010
July 27th, 2010
August 9th, 2010

As of today (9-9-10), the seats (paid for in full 4 1/2 months ago) have still not been received, nor has a refund been issued despite repeated requests and more than reasonable patience on the customer's part... and communication/response has ceased from Ed Barrett as well as from any other employee at the Eddie Barrett Seat Company.

This company scams overseas customers into paying for merchandise they have no intentions of delivering, under the false impression that they are less likely to pursue the matter from overseas.

Buyer beware!

If resolution is made, this report will be updated immediately reflecting the outcome.

Hello we apologize for any unsatisfactory transaction and appreciate the opportunity to rectify any problems or complaints.

Last correspondences with customer, he was at Customs with a problem.

We originally shipped seats in 2 separate boxes however when we were the post office shipping second set of seats we were advised that if we reduced the size of box by 1 inch we could ship both seats in one box. Therefore when customer was at customs there was only 1 box with 2 seats within.

At the time of transaction we were out sourcing aluminum polishing to another company do to extreme time. Since then , we have resolved situation and by bringing polishing in house.

To any over seas potential customers. please be advised before purchase..

duties and tariffs are purchasers responsibility.

When shipping international through USPS once leaves us we are sometimes not able to track.

When shipping through UPS , Fed Ex prices are roughly 6 to 10 times more.
