I graduated with my master's in 2006 and have paid my student loans diligently until I became unemployed March 2010. I have filed the correct paperwork every six months in order to defer my payments, however most recently Edfinancial changed my deferment to forbearance the last time. In addition, this last time I sent in paperwork they denied request, even going so far as indicating I did fill out the form properly, or sign it (which I did)... It is not hard to fill out an unemployment deferment request, as I completed them previously and their form did not change.
