I started my membership with ediets.com in 2004. I canceled after about two weeks after sigining up. Essentially the diet plan didn't even follow the rules it was suppose to (atkins induction-phase). The lady I spoke with said that I would be refunded the charge and my membership would be canceled. Three months later there was another charge. I called again, and again was told that the charges would be refunded and I would no longer be charged. Skip to 2008 and they are still charging me! I called and was told, again, that I would be refunded (no refund yet, but it's only been 9 hours) for the last charge ($38.78). I was told to look up all the charges and fax that in with all the dates. Well I did not have a fax machine available, so I emailed the list of charges to help@ediets.com and the first sentence I wrote said "...please forward to appropriate supervisor." Apparently the customer service rep was confused by this and responded to me with a very generic response and ignored my request and simply said that he would refund the 2008 charges. I replied and asked about the charges from 2004-2007. I received a very condescending letter saying that I was suppose to FAX (yep, he put it in caps, which is incredibly rude), but he would personally forward the email to a supervisor, which is what I asked for in the first place...odd enough he pointed out that ediet.com's employees were thoroughly trained, but nobody (obviously) trained him to *thoroughly* read a letter. Felix is one of many *thoroughly trained* ediet.com's employees...trained to ignore requests. I have taken the first step of contacting my bank and will wait to hear back. I truly believe Ediets.com does this intentionally. If you are going through the same experience please report them to the Better Business Bureau.
