Complaint Review: Ediets

I signed up for ediets in October and immediatly found it to be a pretty worthless service. After my first bill, I wrote the company do unsubscribe and was told I could only deactivate my account via phone. called the company to have my account deactivated. I do not recall the representative I spoke with. They did not deactivate my acccount and as a result I was again billed 2 months later.

I called the company again and they insisted that I had never called them and required that I tell them whom I spoke with. They tried to argue that I had never called earlier to cancel. I had to be much more assertive than is my nature to get them to cancel my account and refund the recent bill.

I did not get a complete refund. They kept $5 citing a line in their hard-to-find membership agreement. Don't do business with this company. They are only in it for the money.
