Fraud! I mistankingly filled out an application online for a new credit card. Upon realization that there was a charge, (those beautiful tiny words on the bottom of the page, right below where one is required to submit)....I deleted all information and backed out.

The next day I noticed a charge of $159.95 on my card. When I phoned the company, there is no machine, and they are not open during stated business hours. (9 am - 5 pm)

I immediately phoned my bank to place a stop on the check! A magnificent gentleman did so, and reimbursed all fees. I went to my branch and filed a fraudulent report, as well as a police report (as this is a federal offense). After all, I never signed the check. (It states Pre-Authorized, No signature required).

Companies such as this continue these actions, as many people may not eben realize that the money has been stolen from their account. I keep a watchful eye on accounts....

I e-mailed EDP Card "Services" on several occassions to no avail. (FYI- They ask for your phone # as well as the acct. #) I suggest you give them your local police #, and the bank phone #).

So, I filed a fraudulent charge as well as a police report. I was honest with EDP and told them that the account was "ear marked".

I don't necessarily expect to hear from them. My hope is that they let me alone. However, if they do not, I will respond yet again! They did not get the $$$ the first time but I don't put it past the slimeballs to try again....I'll keep you posted.

Thank goodness for sites as this!
