Complaint Review: Eduardo Gomez

Eduardo Gomez and his accomplice advertised a stock purchase investment opportunity into a medical marijuana dispensary in Colorado. After a few days of due diligence, my family and I decided to move forward with the investment. Eduardo Gomez represented himself as the escrow attorney and my family wrote two separate checks of $16,250.00 payable to Eduardo Gomez PA. (We have sent copies of the checks to the Florida Bar Complaint Department) Weeks after depositing the money, Eduardo Gomez and his accomplice informed my family that the original investment had dissolved but he had invested our money into another type of dispensary.  Needless to say, my family and I were extremely angry as no one had requested our approval for this new investment. Immediately, we had requested our money back but were told the money was tied up into this new investment. Unfortunately, we have recently found out that the money was never invested into a new entity but was out right stolen by Eduardo Gomez and his accomplice. It was easy for our family to trust Eduardo Gomez from Alvarez, Carbonell & Gomez P.L as we were all Christopher Columbus Graduates.  Unfortunately, he used that fact to his advantage and deliberately stole my familys money without providing us with anything in return. My family and I have currently filed a lawsuit and a bar complaint against this Miami based attorney. UPDATE: I hear he is currently looking for new victims so be careful!!!! This is a very smooth talking attorney who has no remorse when stealing money from people.
