Edward Smith the roofer will come out and look at your roof, review it in detail wiith you, then give you a written contract for the work to be done and take your deposit. He will immediately cash your check. Then, he strings you along for awhile with excuses for why the work has not yet started. Eventually, one reaches the end of ones patience. You try to contact him, he ignores the calls, text and disappears. A visit to his 8228 Elbron Ave address reveals an abandoned house that is padlocked. He has nothing to do with the address he uses. He is well know at this location for scamming people. Residence of this quiet Fox Chase neighborhood are "used" to seeing people show up looking for their money that have been scammed by him. He is said to be residing at another location in this Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. He has been doing this for many years. He is a professional scammer. This is how he make his money.
Edward Smith never does any work. He just takes deposits. After that, he will disappear. He is a rip-off artist. He is pure scum. This is someone who needs to be put in prison for fraud, conspiracy, theft and running a criminal enterprise (under the Ricco Statute).
