Complaint Review: Edwin L. Lamb Dmd

I accompained my cousin to the dentist on June 5, 2003. This is not her primary dentis, she was recommened by her very own dentist to have a root canal and 2 crowns. Well her dentist told her that they would fax all of the insurance information over to the dentist so she would not have to worry about anything.

Upon arrival the office manager by the name if Sara told her that she needed her insurance card, my cousin explained to her that everything was suppose to be faxed and Sara explained to her that it wasn't. Instead of Sara contacting her dentist office she immediately begin to ask if she could afford the $800.00 bill.

My cousin replied yes and she asked her are you sure. Then Edwin L Lamb came in and immediately forcing a needle into her gum she yelled and her stated" if you touch me then its over." She started to cry and he never apologized to her. Then she told him to just pull her teeth and he stated again" we don't pull teeth here. Well the office manager Sara stated otherwise. She then asked how much does she owe so he could leave.

He charged her $65 for him to numb her gum. They would not even let a year old child with us use the restroom, as a result the child urinated on herself. The customer service their was horrible and we feel that this issue needs to be addressed. We plan to go further with this, to let them know that the treatment of African American's in their office will not be tolerated.
