Do not expect the EEOC to provide you any relief when filing a complaint of discrimination. It is my opinion, the Commission is not there to protect employees; I think you will find they take
the word of the employer and consider the case closed. This will occur after an
18 - 24 month waiting period. It will all be for naught.

I filed an Age Discrimination charge in January 2011 against by former
employer, LMI Government Consulting, of McLean, VA. In July, 2012, I received an
EEOC letter of preliminary findings and was requested to comment. After
submitting a rebuttal letter, using some of LMI's in-house documentation to
support my claims, the EEOC saw fit to ignore my documentation and accept the
employer's version. Subsequently, they terminated the case less than two weeks
after receiving my rebuttal. You can likely expect the same treatment. You will
find they like to hide behind case law and are not forthcoming as to the
criteria they use to arrive at their decisions. Frankly, I do not think they have any criteria.
