Complaint Review: EFRAINDURAN

Purchased two savannah cats through him. One a kitten 5 weeks mixed for 500.00, and another savannah cat at 1800.00. Ensured that they are disease free, and tested. He indicated they have no disease, as the reason I went to a breeder was to ensure cats would not be infected/at risk for other disease.

Looked up his information on tica. Researched website prior to purchasing and unable to find anything negative. When picking up cats arranged for pick up within 1 week of payment, and thought was a little rushed, seemed odd but, went with it. At time of pick up for cats he indicated that his instagram got shut down due to other breeders being competitive.

Due to that they do anything they can to eliminate competition. Another red flag. Both cats seemed healthy. He indicated they are healthy and no concerns for the cats health. I indicated multiple times I have purchased cats from shelters, and went through major medical issues, and that my son could not handle losing another cat early to vaccine preventable diseases.

We had a gap in between owning a cat, and also sterilized our home to ensure to disease transmission. When receiving the kittens they were not vaccinated, which it was indicated they would have received their first vaccines except for the one kitten which was 5 weeks.

Of note this kitten was not eating solids so I had to get formula to give it to him for a couple weeks it was obvious it was not weaned. Within a month of owning the kitten he received his first set of vaccines, and then became lethargic. Took him to the vet gave him antibiotics he improved, and then became worse.

Took him to the vet for a second time who indicated positive felv in the advanced stages one kidney was larger than the other. These have been completely indoor cats. No contact with any out door cats. The other cat now has been exposed is at risk, and will have to get him tested.

This person also indicated tica certified, and can get registered if indicated. Do not buy from him unless you want to break your childs, or your heart. I thought I reasearched, and will do everything I can to avoid this person from producing sick cats. While waiting for the labs I found a bunch of information on this breeder who indicates others have had issues with the health of the cats.

I have spent about 3000.00 approximately in vet bills, and not to mention expenses for a cat who is now deceased. Not to mention the other cat who has yet to start presenting with symptoms. Of note the cats groomed each other, and constantly play fought. What he is doing is unethical to the animals, and humans he sells them to. STAY AWAY
