I found this company through a job posting I placed on guru.com. I was looking for a web designer to take an existing WordPress website and customize some additional features. I was contacted by Wilson Greene of Cliche Group (who I later found out was also The Sagacious Group, Cliche Magazine, & EG&G Marketing). After several weeks or more of ironing out the project details we agreed on terms and price, half of which was to be paid up front and the rest upon completion. I paid the deposit and the work began.

Wilson was responsive and I had a lot of faith in the company. Several weeks into the project he contacted me to explain that there was more work involved than anticipated. The total project cost then going to be around 50% more than what was quoted. I told him I did not want to pay over what I had already budgeted, so he suggested an alternative option and laid out a couple of issues that option would pose. I was ok with those issues so we moved on, but not without him requiring me to pay another deposit totalling half of my outstanding balance (a quarter of the total project cost).

Once the project was "completed" (at least according to Wilson) he was pretty aggressive in getting me to pay him the remaining balance, although there were still outstanding items he agreed to do. As I was reviewing the work they had done I came across a functionality issue: if I wanted the most important part of my real estate page (the search) to work with the customization piece he created, it would be an added cost. Integration with my site was agreed upon from the beginning of the project, and obviously I would want my website's property search (which is the most prominent part of my site) to be able to search the property listing pages that he created...

I requested that he integrate with the search or refund my money and he has refused. I even requested a partial refund and that was denied as well. I'm not sure what else that I can do about it, but I want to make sure nobody else gets ripped off by this company.
