Several months ago we received a solicitation call from a company representing themselves as part of Google.  They stated they could assist us in our internet account and findingour physical address on the internet.  WE  paid a check on that day over the internet.  We stop[ped payment of that check by 6:00 pm that day.  They wanted us to  be signed up for a 1 year  contract.  We have not padi out any money to them and they now have now sent our accoun to tNational Recovery Systems inthe amount of  $1417.00.  They are threatending to go to Waukesha County for more action.  I found that this company had multiple reports to Ripoff Report for the very day that I was solicited.  IT was because of Rip off reprot that I realized that this would not be a good direction for our company to go.

Sorry to hear about any having to go to court over eGumball. Threatening to sue is a major component to their (eGumball and owner John) game/scam. They threatened to sue me after working their.

I was hired as an opener, meaning I call potential customers, get them interested in eGumball's service and then pass the phone to a "closer."

Their practice is very deceiving. An automated machine "usually" says this is an important message from google. Your business listing has been altered. Employees follow a script after that, saying their google business listing is in miscelleneous business services - employees have no clue what your business listing is according to google. Don't think google has business category listings. They either find you on the web or they don't.

I won't comment on other things employees say that are meant to target prospects' fear and greed. I'll say I'm very SEO savvy and helped a lot of prospects in the "discovery" and "possibility" areas. I was the top opener -every day - on my team. But the closers can't close. Your either buying or your not, when it comes to talking to them.

In three weeks I was fired for not enough sales. I was hurt, since I was the opener not the closer. My closer wasn't touched. Here is where I show how crooked they are. The manager, Ken (forshay?) slps me an envelope saying my final paychecks are there and to get out now. I get to the bank, open the envelpe and there is one check inside, payment for one week, not one week and final week (first checks are always witheld).

I'm hurt and scared. However, once I made it back, a higher-up gave me the second check.

One more thing, I did talk one more person into buying and that should have secured my position for another week. But that person hung up first, then called back to buy. My "closer" said her friend/employee talked to that customer first (months ago). She gave the sale to her friend, not me. And I got fired. Lost my bank account, missed all my payments, it ruined me.

Some employees there acted like I was in for a butt-kicking when I came for my final check. So when I got home, I wrote a review about the position. I was instantly hit with e-mails from eGumball saying my review was a lie and take it down or I'd be sued. They're e-mails are very intimidating. I looked online and John with eGumball sues a lot of people (a lot) over his reviews. I took the review down and told them never e-mail me again.

You can learn a lot about a company by how they treat their employees.
