EDITORIAL EXPLANATION:  (5/12/2017)Ripoff Report has found the party making this post used the Ripoff Report site to make multiple false Reports against this company.  This is not permitted under Ripoff Report’s Terms of Service.  Ripoff Report does not tolerate the use of its site to harass, torment, or abuse individuals and/or a business.  This company has been with Ripoff Report for a while now with no actual substantive complaints.  In accordance with Ripoff Report’s current Terms of Service and new policies, this harassing and abusive post has been redacted. 

PERCEIVED HARASSMENT / CYBERSTALKING / CYBERBULLYING / REVENGE POST

EDITOR’S COMMENT:  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, especially when consumers are truthfully warning other consumers about potential frauds, scams, rip-offs or the like by shady individuals or businesses.  Ripoff Report is by consumers, for consumers…and we want to keep it that way!  Unfortunately this Report was posted and, upon additional information, appears to have been primarily for the purpose of bullying or harassment.  In many instances Ripoff Report will reach out to the author of the Report to obtain further information.  In other instances, enough information is provided to Ripoff Report to warrant redactions without reaching out to the author.  Ripoff Report is working to combat tactics that are perceived to be cyberharassment, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and/or what is generally considered a “revenge post” as we do not condone such behavior. 

The Report was brought to our attention and, upon review of compiled information including Court documentation (which will be done on a case by case basis without any obligation as resources allow), and at Ripoff Report’s sole discretion, Ripoff Report made the decision to update this Report because it did not conform to our current policies and/or current Terms of Service. Under normal circumstances when applying this new Policy to other Reports, Ripoff Report would simply redact the identifying information from the subject Reports and leave the remainder of the Report content.  In this instance, because this Company is an existing Corporate Advocacy Member Businesses, and given the unique way that Ripoff Report has serviced its customer with advertising and other benefits and services, Ripoff Report has agreed to redact from this Report the original author posting and replace that original author content with this Editorial Comment.

CONSUMERS:  Be kind.  Keep it honest.  Keep it fair.  Stick to the facts.  Do your research.  Keep the dirty laundry in the laundry hamper…not on Ripoff Report.

The reason why eGumball gives business owners 3 days to cancel is because they'll tell you during the phone call that they will perform within 7 days, therefore negating the 3 day rule.  John Bauer is slick and deceives his employees as well as business owners.  His a a company where he hires lots of kids who are taught to say anything to get the business owners credit card number.  Once they get that number you're screwed as he knows that you'll give up the fight after a few months and he walks away with your money.  His attitude is snarky and he laughs while he pats his employees on the back for being deceptive. 

He does the same thing to his employees that he does to business owners.  Rips them off.  The turnover is very high because because he needs fresh people to keep the mystery alive.  By the time someone figures out they they too have been scammed they're out the door.  The bottom line is this.  eGumball teaches their employees to be disceptive and results in businss owners being ripped off.  They like to target small business knowing that a small business owner needs to focus on their business rather than fight with eGumball.  I'm disgusted with this man who calls himself a business owner but is nothing more than a theif.  I can't wait to get another job and quit here. 

John has paid to have his name removed from Yelp and a few other internet sites because he knows that his business would be flooded with negative reports.  I'm happy that ripoffreport doesn't do this.  The consumers need to know what they're getting themselves in to with this sham of a business.

Fabricated Review - Not an Employee of eGumball

It’s clear that you never worked at eGumball, Inc., because if you did, you would know that we perform criminal background checks on every employee before we hire them.  The allegation that our company does not like to do business in California because we close at 3:30PM is preposterous and illogical. We close at that time because we open at 7:30am. None of the information in this complaint applies to any of our business and hiring practices.
