eHarmony eHarmony WILL Auto-renew whether you want it to or not. Internet
Do not sign up for eHarmony without being willing to baby sit your account. They will ignore your cancellation request.
Signed up and cancelled a month later. I was on a 6 month plan so I went ahead and paid out the 5 remaining months. They auto-renewed me.
When I complained they said that they ignored the cancellation request because I still had payments remaining at the time of the cancellation.
I agreed and pointed out that i had paid the remaining amount. But, they shouldn't have auto-renewed me.
Basically, they said that I had to cancel after I had made the last payment on my current plan but before the end of the contract. This left a one month window in which I could cancel according to their terms and policies and in which they would actually honor the cancellation.
So, now I'm an eHarmony member for ANOTHER 6 months when I'd cancelled after 1 month. Literally 1 full year of membership for signing up on for one month of actual use. And, over $300 worth of fees.
