Eheim will not honor 3 year warranty...ever! FALSE ADVERTISING! Internet

I purchased the "BMW of aquarium filters" about 2 years ago (Eheim pro 2, 2028) but the only thing similar to a BMW is the price, not the quality. With so much filtration in my tank this filters media was changed less than 10 times. But in the most recent time, the cheap plastic that holds the motor to the canister broke. With a 3 year warranty I thought I would be fine...

Well, I emailed Eheims customer support and was instructed to take pictures of the broken piece and the receipt. In response the pictures Eheim told me that the canister itself is not covered under the warranty. I argued that was ridiculous and misleading as it says nothing on the box about that and I assumed that "3 year warranty" means that it covered everything in the box.

After a few emails back and forth I believe my point was made and instead of taking responsibility for the problem Eheim decided that they would try a new excuse to weasel their way out of replacing the canister. They claimed that it was my fault the snaps broke!

Snapping 4 corners down using the clips is not rocket science and I tried explaining that the plastic broke from its own weight. Instead of offering a solution they simply stopped replying to my emails.

Eheim does not honor their warranty

When you think of Eheim, think of garbage

Clearly Eheim hates their customers but loves their money
