Ehostsource Web Hosting, Intelligent Web Marketing ripoff no refund of services that will not be performed Albemarle North Carolina
The company eHostSource (Intelligent Web Marketing) is cancelling service for customers who "misuse" their servers. Not only are they cancelling service, they are not providing prorated refunds for unused months.
This is a covenient and legal way to rip you off. Since they take (1 year subscription) payment through PayPal, you only have 30 days for any recourse. I called my credit card company and they also have no recource since I used PayPal. The consumer is left holding the bag since the credit card company can't do anything, PayPal cannot do anything and eHostSource just cancels your account and keeps the money. The way I see it is that they can cancel whenever they want, but they should have to refund the prorated subscription fee for their service.

Dear Ehostsource Customer,
Due to high levels of server abuse we have recently conducted an audit
on
all sites utilizing our services. Your site was found to be in
violation
of the following terms of service:
Music Files
Customer may not with out permission have sound/video files in any
format
(MP3, ASX, ASF, RA, RAM , QTV etc.) due to the high rate of illegal
transfer of copy written material. Even with permission, there is a 5
file maximum on all audio and video files and each file must be
smaller
than 5 MB due to the demands they place on the server.
Your account was found to have 14 mp3 files and 6 rm files.
As stated in our terms of service, any violation of our AUP (acceptable
use policy) may result in the immediate termination of your account
without refund. Unfortunately the abuse on our servers is so
widespread
that this decision is final and we cannot grant you any grace period to
resolve the violations. The terms of service exist in order to protect
the
quality of service to all of our customers and for this reason,
violations
can no longer go unchecked.
Your site will be removed from our servers on Monday, November 11,
2002.
This will give you time to seek out alternative hosting and transfer
your
files with minimal downtime.
We realize this may cause an inconvenience, however this decision is
final
as it is necessary to preserve acceptable performance to the vast
majority
of our customers.
