I applied for an EIN number in May 2011 assuming  that I was doing it through the IRS.  I was not made aware that there would be a $150 charge in which was charged to my debit card.  A debit card number was never asked for or was not given online.  All they sent me was an email with an EIN number and I did not receive a letter from the IRS that the EIN number was assigned.

I have tried to call several times to the number that was given to me on the e-mail but they refer me to an IRS number.

I have tried calling the 800 number and listing on my bank statement but was unabl to connect to a department that could help me.  Even the billing department was not available.

I have contacted my bank and they informed me that I am not able to get the charge reversed.  I would have to have the EIN processing to reverse the charge, or I will ned to do a police report and do a Debit card dispute.
