El Cid Vacation Club I was lied too and fighting back Cozemel, Mazatlan Other
I posted a report regarding El Cid some months back. I have been activily fighting to get a refund. In fact El Cid has sent me a letter intending to sue me for for libel?
Here are steps I recommend everyone take.
1. If you are in the 5 day cancelation window do so immediately and in writing.
2. File a complaint with PROFECO E-mail: extranjeros@profeco.gob.mx
I have emailed them to ask if we can file a joint complaint. I recommend everyone do it.
3.Contact as many travel agencies as possible.
example: Cruise Line or Airline you traveled on, Travel Agent, Local paper, TV consumer complaint news sites, travel magazines
4. Post your experience to Trip Advisor
5. Contact your credit card comapnies for help. I just heard about this and am proceeding.
6. The El Cid help never responded to multiple and emails and calls. Contact pdelacruz@elcid.com.mx; jhenderson@elcid.com.mx; malgara@elcid.com.mx
rgoon@elcid.com.mx These are El Cid employees.

I hope that one of the prime time TV networks will be interested in our stories of time share fraud.
Maybe my own experience and report posted on 8/6/09 will give you more ideas to fight them.
We need to keep giving this more exposure, because they're financially trapping more victims all the time with their false promises, and now at least in our case, they've dropped to the level of resorting to actual CRIMINAL tactics.
