Complaint Review: El Gordo Sweepstake Lottery Company S.A.

Recieved letter with no return address today, July 12th 2004 with a stamp from Espana or Spain. Letter inside stated that I had won a lottery drawing for USD 615,810.00 that was held on 22th Dec, 2003. Letter was dated 05th of Agost 2004. My Spanish tells me that is August, which hasn't even happened yet!

Letter goes on to say that I must keep my winnings secret until the transaction is complete. Also says that I have to contact my claim agent, ANTONIO LUCAS with the SANTA LUCIA SECURITY COMPANY SA no later than 05th of Jun 2004. I didn't recieve this letter until the 12th of July!

Also inclosed was a sheet that had areas for me to fill out with my personal information, bank transfer information and my next of kin. They want it faxed back.

I was wary and checked this company on the internet. I am glad I did! This is a horrible rip-off! I could certainly use the money, (who couldn't?) But, if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.
