Add my company to the growing list of those defrauded by Elavon. We had a couple of chargebacks by customers which were quickly resolved in our favor, but Elavon decided that we were too risky to do business with, so they took money out of our bank account and held back charges totalling over $2800. This was done initially without notice, we finally received notification that the funds were held and withdrawn about 5 days after the fact.

My company immediately changed banks and merchant service companies. We waited the obligatory 90 days after the last charge and then requested refund of the held funds. I was told that we now had to wait 6 months. After 6 months, I called and was transferred to the "Security Department". I explained that I wanted a refund of my held funds and wanted to speak to someone about it. I was told that they will e-mail the department responsible and they would call me back. It's been about 4 months now since I made that call and I've yet to get a call back from them.

I've made numerous other calls to no avail. I've discussed the issue with my state Attorney General's office who deferred it to the Tennessee AG (being a business-to-business matter).

So, after almost 18 months, I still have not received a phone call OR my funds back. If there is an on-going class action suit or other legal action, sign me up!!!
