Las Vegas, NV can be a difficult place for honest people to do business. One such instance is a Dry Cleaning franchise known by the names of Eldorado Cleaners, Payless Cleaners and $1.50 Cleaners.

Beward of franchises specifically run by Richard Lippman and Joe Reinstein, 50% managers.

I brought a blouse into the 7754 W. Sahara store and they ripped the pocket and refused to take responsibiltiy.

Richard Lippman (who gave me a false name, and called himself "Richard Topp") told me it happened because I put my hands into the pockets.

The FACT is: the blouse was new. I brought it in for cleaning and pressing in perfect condition. While in their possession, the pocket must have caught on one of their machines, and ripped. In addition to the ripped pocket, the shirt had a red stain (that finally did come out) that was not present when the shirt was brought into the store.

Not only did the store ruin my shirt, but they sent me home with another person's clothes in the same order.

Richard Lippman, alais "Richard Topp" is deceitful in business. This is the kind of person that claims success in Las Vegas, while ripping off others. He didn't even have the decency to give me his correct name.

El Dorado Cleaners is a Terrific Business in Las Vegas

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

I have the privelege of working with Richard and Joe in advertising and community PR in our major supermarket chains here in Nevada.  Our customers who use the incentives distributed for their 2.25 Cleaners (including myself) are more than satisfied with the job they do. They are fast, efficient, reliable and extremely affordable. Richard and Joe are members at the church I attend and are highly regarded.

I have doubts about the authenticity of the complaint registered at this site, and can argue that for one supposedly "disgruntled" customer that El Dorado Cleaners have hundreds of satisfied customers who return to their establishments week afrter week for their dry cleaning needs. If you have any doubts, give them a try and you will see for yourself the fine job they do!

Eldorado/Payless Cleaners Customer Service Rep Response

#3UPDATE Employee

Wed, October 04, 2006

I am one of the customer service people who works for Eldorado and Payless Cleaners. I am happy to report that my job is easy because the two gentlemen that operate the business make every attempt to resolve questions and problems right at the counter! The stores are definitely the best of breed of one price cleaners in the city of Las Vegas. I can assure this ex-client that we process thousands of garments a day with barely a complaint, save an occasional re-press.

There is nothing in the equipment that can cause fabric to rip...if we had such a piece of equipment, we would be ripping garments everyday! Pockets tend to tear because something has been put into them on a regular basis and weakened the fabric. It's just that simple really! I am sure Rich or Joe offered her some free dry cleaning to compensate for the tear although it was not the fault of the store.

I think this client should try a full price ($5.00 to $10.00 per garment) dry cleaner and see if they do a better job for her. She'll soon discover that her clothes always look better and are finished better at our store for $1.75 than at the full price shop. In two trips to the full price shop, she have spent enough to have bought a great new blouse by using us!
