Complaint Review: Elective Transporation

Curt from Elective Transportation in NJ contacted me on 03/14/05 telling me to expect a shipment for all our restaurant supplies on 03/18/05 and to have a money order for $2250 ready. The truck broke down and had to be repaired so the truck doesn't arrive till 03/24/05. Everyday of that week, I had to call him twice a day to find out what's going on, and it is frustrating to get any info from him. When it finally arrives, the buffet table we ordered was heavily damaged during the travel. We refused the order and he agreed to take the table and everything back to the restaurant supply company in NY to get it fixed.

Currently, the truck carrying our supplies is sitting on the West Coast somewhere, and Curt refuses to expedite the process. He simply won't move the truck until it gets filled, and tells me not to expect anything for "a while." Meanwhile, our restaurant is losing revenue everyday without the buffet table, salad bar, ice cream machine, deep fryer, plates, and tumblers that is in his truck.

It seems to be his responsibility to deliver goods on time and without damage. However, that has not been the case, and our restaurant and the restaurant supply company are both waiting on him to deliver the goods back to NY to get it fixed, and then having to wait on him to ship it to us, undamaged.

We just want him to take responsibility for what his company has done, get the table back to NY to get it fixed, and get our supplies to us as soon as possible. But it just seems he doesn't care, and is not in a hurry to fix this wrong.
