Thank you for this website, I googled this company(Elegant Promenade) and to my horror read about its devious operations. To imagine I was considering accepting their "job" offer!

Luckily I needn't go through what T(writer of the first report) did to find out, but I can confirm some things. Firstly, this classified has been cropping up fairly regularly these months-this should have warned me that the co. is regularly replenishing its new hires.

I received a call and this girl quickly invited me for an interview. They all seem to speak very fast and now I understand why, they have rehearsed it so many times to other hapless recruits that they can glibly recite it now. Time of interview, directions to the co., even calling up on the day to remind you of your appointment.

Let me now describe the office. (Funny how common sense eludes me, now that I think over it, ALL the signs was screaming for me to wake up. But then most Malaysian young adults aren't conmen, so we can't imagine that other people can be so...) BTW, I had a long time to observe, 1 hr in fact. The furniture seemed to be rented and temporary. There is a big stack of 2 yr old magazines in the waiting area. The radio blasted v.loudly. And I cannot recall seeing any poster, brochure or evidence of the Frozen and Dried Food business they purported.

The interview was a monologue. She zipped through it like a real pro. I think the real cruncher is the promise of RM1300 first month in the probation and RM1500-RM1800 thereafter. And that trainees would go through an impressive-sounding overview of the business from sales, marketing, logistics, HR, IT,etc. 6 hrs later today, they called to say I've been accepted and wanted me to report at the office tmrw 8.30am. luckily I haven't replied and my reply now will be a definite NO.

Malaysian graduates looking for jobs swarm on those who give training; as most companies want you to hit the floor running, even if you're a fresh graduate. I had visions in my mind that this job could allow me a stepping stone in the FMCG career but thank the gods I read T's report first.

The first report on this Elegant Promenade Sdn. Bhd. saved me. I hope those other girls waiting with me to be interviewed find these reports too. There was quite a crowd still sitting there when I left.
