elena sass they are selling incredible sick puppies!!!! Internet, New Jersey
we purchase a dog from Elena Sass on September 1 of 2012 payed 1,337.00 in cash with in two weeks our dog was deadly ill, after many visits to the hospital and a very expensive stay in the hospital she was diagnosed with liver shunt. upon talking to the Doctor, he suggested talking to the breeder because in his opinion, this illness is something that runs in more than one pup in the liter .we tried without luck to get from Elena, the records regarding the medical background of the parents of our pup,so at this point the only future we face is to hope that other people will not go to same heartache. This women is running a puppy mill out of a very nice home.

What you can do to protect yourself against PetDoxie / Doxie Garden
#2Consumer Suggestion
Thu, January 03, 2013
Contact the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs - part of the NJ Attorney General's Office. 1-800-242-5846. Report the transaction by filling out a simple form and explain what this "breeder" did and provide all documents to them. You can fax the documents to them as well.
Also contact the ASPCA 1-800-582-5979 and let them know of the dogs being sick and the deplorable condition of their kennels. If you don't take action, this repeat offender will continue doing this. There are multiple complaints in the last few months about this "breeder/boarding kennel".
Any reputable AKC breeder or pet store will take back a puppy they have sold and refund the money to the buyer in full because they are actually concerned about the dog's well-being and health. This breeder has multiple complaints from different people in the past 6 months. They changed their name from Doxie Garden to PetDoxie because of prior troubles under their former name. They have deplorable kennel conditions. Multiple people have complained of specific health issues such as vomiting and kennel cough and mange. They are not a licensed or registered breeder or kennel and this is not allowed legally out of a residential area.
They are known in the area among the rescue people as being disreputable and the puppies showing up in the rescue centers. That's enough proof right there. Read the other postings about Doxie Garden or Pet Doxie here and you will see people complaining of sick dogs with Mange and Vomiting and Coughing or liver problems. If you considered or are STILL considering buying from this so-called breeder, then you will be making a terrible mistake. They will simply change their name again and continue their shady practices on more unsuspecting victims.
Some Red Flags : Their internet ad and website have a link that says they are located in Bridgewater at Donald Drive North in Bridgewater, NJ. The residential location where they have the deplorable kennels and make the sales transactions is 18 Prospect Drive in Somerville, NJ. There could be two people running this puppy mill/dog operation. Since there are multiple complaints of sick puppies and refusing to give return monies paid, then everyone affected needs to take action. Also, people need to be warned in advance, if they are planning on spending $800-$1200 for a non-AKC puppy with no AKC pedigree papers provided. Do your homework.
