On January 16, 2020 saw a 1998 Chevy Silverado Z71 4x4 Pick-Up for sale on EBay Motors for $1,00.00 the seller is Elena White@ 1320 Johnathan Drive in Lawrence, KS her Email address is Elenaw@353comcast.net. I was told to buy 5 seperate Ebay cards for $200.00 a piece. I was told what stores sold Ebay Cards. So I went and purchased 5 differt cards scratched off redemption code on the back then was told to call 818-334-2903 after they got codes from cards I got a confirmation # 80150378.

Was told truck would be delivered on Friday January 24, 2020 no later than 6:00 PM. Now 2 weeks later a Brittany Anderson is selling same truck with same story now price is $800.00. Their story is "she" claims to be a nurse in Army Reserves and shes being deployed within days. Her husband recently died and needs to sell. Brittany Anderson email is Brittany Anderson@gmail.com

There is no such person and this is an old scam. Lesson learned. No rip off since there is no such person. You gave your money to a Nigerian scammer.

I was told to buy 5 seperate Ebay cards for $200.00 a piece. I was told what stores sold Ebay Cards. So I went and purchased 5 differt cards scratched off redemption code on the back then was told to call 818-334-2903 after they got codes from cards I got a confirmation # 80150378.  Seriously, how stupid are you?  The way you purchase something like this is through a site like Paypal which has the ability to protect you in case the product is not delivered and can get your money back when the truck isn't delivered.  What you did is give the scammer cash that you cannot trace and cannot get back.

E-Bay does not guarantee the validity of anyone doing any deal on their site, which is why the phrase caveat emptor applies in this situation.  Furthermore, the person you're complaining about - that isn't their real name and a gmail address can easily be closed and a new one with a new name created.  The person who scammed you will simply select a new name, a new e-mail address, and the same sad story at some point.

Moral of the story:  Don't be so stupid to trust anyone online.  Protect yourself at all times.
