I spoke to a "salesperson" (and I quote salesperson because it turned out that she was not one) regarding a specific vehicle for about two weeks. During the two week period she processed my loan application and informed me that I was approved for any vehicle on the lot based on my income and credit. For the specific vehicle I wanted she told me that my down payment was $300. After sending her all of the required documents and my insurance information, she said all I had to do was come pick up the car. I live in Denton and the dealership is in Houston. Obviously, I did my due diligence before making a five hour drive to get the vehicle. I told her several times that it would be a really long drive for me and that I don't want any surprises when I get there.  On Saturday June 11th, I headed to Houston to pick up the car.  During the entire trip Tina aka the "salesperson" and I were texting back and forth about what time I would get there. The last time I text was about 10 minutes before I arrived and she said she happy for me and she was waiting.  I arrived, went inside and ask for Tina. The salesman I spoke to said " she just left 2 minutes ago. It was slow so the manager sent her home." "WHAT???" I said. I began explaining that we had been communicating all day and asked why she would leave two minutes before I got there when I had just driven almost 6 hours. He then proceeded to ask what kind of vehicle I was looking for ,etc. Obviously I began to get upset because the deal was already done. Also the Camaro I came to pick up was not there. As a matter of fact it had been sold weeks before, but she told me she was looking at the car on the day I went to get it. Back to the salesman, he and I started going back and forth about Tina. Then the manager walked over and asked what was going on. I said " I have been dealer with your salesperson Tina for two weeks and we completed the deal for the Camaro, I was just supposed to come and pick it up. " He says " who is Tina"?............ You can only imagine how upset I am at this point. Remember, this was a 6 hour drive. So the salesman responds to the manager and said " You know Tina the girl who takes calls." The manager says " I don't know any Tina". At this point I'm thinking OMG. These A**holes lied to me and made me drive all the way across Texas for nothing. It turned out that Tina was just some person who pretends to be a salesman to get people to the dealership and the dealership pays her a commission. The manager said that I needed a cosigner and more money down to get a car from them and that there was nothing he could do. WOW!!! Whats worse is that there are about 4 others women whose job is the same. They will tell the person anything to get them to the dealership. She never processed any paperwork as she stated she did. She pretended to send my insurance company the necessary documents so I could go ahead and take the car when I got there. Tina and the salesperson I spoke with are complete liars who don't care about customers. I have all the text proving that she completely lied about every aspect of the deal.
