In February I received a call from Elephant Wireless offering me a service that included a new phone with upgrade of service. I specically asked if this service was Cingular and was told 'yes'. This conversation was taped! All my bills and phone reflected the name Cingular so I never gave it a second thought that I wasn't being serviced by Cingular.

I had only intermittent service and called several times to complain. I was treated rudely and told I could not cancel my service or I would be penalized. After 6 months (still paying) was told by Cingular that the service was not available in Monmouth. After many letters, phones, standing in lines - Cingular sent me another phone that could be used. This was a used phone with no accessories. As a matter of fact, it's outdated and they don't sell or give them away anymore.

I would like to be reimbursed for the 6 months of non-service and a phone that is comparable to what I bought with attachments. Cingular has left 2 messages on my home phone since I filed a complaint with the FCC. No point in calling Mr. Thomas (770) 749-5912 he is still insisting that the problem is not with Cingular and I need to contact Elephant Wireless.

I tried contacting Elephant Wireless with no success. As far as I'm concerned - Cingular contracted Elephant Wireless and allowed them to use their name selling a service that is simply not available to me in Monmouth County.
