Yolanda Heath(adjuster) for Elephant Auto Insurance is refusing accept my auto claim. First of all I don't recall Yolanda Heath stating to me she was my adjuster, I found out through customer service that she was my adjuster. Yolanda Heath acted, as though she was just taking the information from me to give to the adjsuter and underwriter.

I told Yolanda Heath everything that I knew about the accident, I give her the police/detective informaTION. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT DOESNT HAVE A POLICE REPORT ON THE ACCIDENT. This is not my problem! I have full coverage on my vehicle and everyone in the vehicle has protection. I also have car rental included on my policy. She is refusing to give me a rental because she stated she doesn't have a accident report.

The problem is that without a report detailing the specifics of the accident from the police, THEY are NOT going to give you any help. To THEM, YOU may be scamming THEM into paying for something that they may not have to pay for. Your comment of......................... THE POLICE DEPARTMENT DOESNT HAVE A POLICE REPORT ON THE ACCIDENT. This is not my problem! .................. actually it IS YOUR problem. Without the OFFICIAL proof of an accident, YOU go no where fast. It may take a few days to a few weeks for the report to be filed. Once its filed THEN you can request a copy of it. This doesn't mean that YOU are screwed, it just means that if YOU want a rental car, YOU have to pay for it out of your own pocket THEN when you get the report YOU can request a reimbursement from YOUR insurance company. Its NOT that YOUR insurance doesn't wish to help, its that the insurance industry is PLAGUED with tons and tons of fraud. In order to counter act these fraud attempts NOTHING is done without PROOF!!!! Ok we get it, YOU had some form of accident, still doesn't change the HOW the insurance company has to do things. I wont go into WHO is at fault because THAT is a separate issue in and of itself. If YOU were the cause of the accident, then YOUR insurance company MAY NOT be willing to do anything for you at all. If the other person was at fault, YOU may have to go after the other drivers insurance as THEY would be the ones who have to attempt to make YOU whole again. Remember insurance in all of its forms IS NOT a platinum card, and it is NOT a carte blanche for YOU to make demands. There is a process and you MUST follow it. YOU may not either like OR agree with it but it IS what it IS. The MORE you fight the process, the more the process is going to become difficult for YOU. So in closing GET THAT POLICE REPORT!!!!! THAT is the PROOF they need. Without that proof YOU are just someone who has made up a fancy story and EXPECTS the insurance company to not only swallow it hook, line, and sinker. But DEMANDS that THEY be given THEIR way. LIFE doesn't work that way, the insurance industry doesn't work that way. YOU need to be patient and follow the process so that YOU can be made whole. The more YOU b***h and whine to them, the more inclined THEY would be to have a "clerical error". Or to "misplace" your claim. Remember these are people too. THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS AND IF YOU PISS THEM OFF THEY WILL SCREW WITH YOU! It seems that MOST of the American Consumers only see others as servants to THEIR desires or ROBOTS that are in place to ONLY give them their way. The reality is that these are HUMANS you are dealing with and Im 100% sure that if YOU were treated as THEY are treated, YOU wouldn't be kind. Its a sociopathic disorder that EVERYONE appears to have. Break that mold or stereotype. Try treating them nice and speaking to them as if you care. YOU don't have to ACTUALLY care, but a little nice goes a long way towards resolving YOUR issues.
