An in-stock item, the Delta Single Handle Stainless Steel Faucet SKU 198-SS was paid for on Tue, 13 May 2008. Notification of completed sale and progression of transaction to shipping was sent at time of purchase with confirmation # 14575274.

A week later on Tue, 20 May, 2008 at approximately 7:15 AM I received a phone call from a woman claiming to be from InsideStore.com. She stated that my order will not be sent, but her explanation was not believable. She said the item's price increased since my purchase was completed a week earlier and that is why someone at InsideStore.com decided to not send my purchase. I asked if this was a mistake and she agreed that this was an error by someone at InsideStore.com. She declined to provide the name of the person that told her to call to tell me the item would not be sent and I was unable to understand why a seemingly experienced merchant would operate this way.

InsideStore.com states Shop with confidence knowing that every purchase is fully backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. I hired workers to initiate a project for which this item is needed in a timely manner, because fast delivery is mentioned on InsideStore.coms Top 10 reasons to shop InsideStrore.com states purchases are only a few days away. InsideStore.com states Shop with confidence knowing that every purchase is fully backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I followed-up by sending two e-mails on Tue, 20 May, 2008 requesting explanation and delivery. I did not receive a reply.

InsideStore.com (New York, NY) defrauds consumers

InstideStore.com has made the claim that the $21.29 sale price I paid on May 13, 2008 for the Delta faucet # DEL-198-SS Michael Graves Single Handle B was due to a one-time inadvertent error by InsideStore.com to offer for sale the Delta faucet # DEL-198-SS for the very low price of $32.75 with an on-sale price of only $21.29. InsideStore.com asserts that error as their excuse for not meeting their legal obligation to deliver the merchandise I purchased. I believed the representatives from InsideStore.com lied then and continue to be knowingly deceptive in order to conceal their acts of fraud.

Ooops, they did it again?

As of today, July 4, 2008, InsideStore.com continues to offer for sale the Delta faucet # DEL-198-SS Michael Graves Single Handle B for price of $32.75 with an on-sale price of only $21.29.

If that link is not active when you read this, I can provide several screen-shoots taken today of this sales price listing on InsideStore.coms web page. I tiled the InsideStore.com web page over the NY Times cover-web page as confirmation of the accuracy of the date and time of this visual information.

For the purpose of consumer protection, Insideastore.com should not be allowed to continue to deceive consumers through fraudulent advertising. InsideStore.coms claim of making a one-time pricing error is their attempt to misrepresent their worse then bait-and-switch promotional practice that the Federal Trade Commission considers an act of fraud. If my May 13, 2008 transaction was completed in person, would they have come to my home and attempted to take back the product a week later? Why should on-line consumers have any less protection?

Similarly, consumers should not be falsely informed by inaccurate information from the BBB that encourages more trust than is consistent with known facts about this merchants fraudulent business practices.

As a disabled adult with no day-to-day assistance, I use e-commerce for many of the purchases that most people would not hesitate to purchase in their own community. Therefore, I also depend on the BBBs evaluations of e-commerce business to help me avoid the situation that has resulted from InsideStore.coms disregard for consumers.
