EMG hires sales reps daily knowing that they will get appts. with business owners. New reps are eager to make money and to please the boss. Little do they know that the training is minimal and on a need to know basis. As a matter of fact, reps are told they do not need to understand the business, they just need to sell themselves. Get good raport with the merch and the rest will follow. Look them in the eye, firm handshake, you're in. Reps are told the EMG has the best rates/equip. in the industry. This is absolutely NOT TRUE.
Every other processor I have looked in to give FREE equipment, lower rates and NO $125 mandatory PCI fee! They have a small fee but not $125.
The Regional sales manager, Jim Visoky is a slimy character that makes you think he's your best friend! he tells the reps and managers that they better meet quota or he won't get his bonus!
He stops short of telling reps to outright lie, but says "get the deal, will fix anything wrong later" Tell the merchant that the only way to get the savings offered is with the "special" software in EMG's terminal. Sell the terminal as much as you can. Start at 69.95 and go up from there. Jim gets soooooo excited when someone in his office sell a lease for 89.95, 99.95 and up with other services That's over $5000.after taxes AND insurance! The machine we were selling can be purchased for around $400., yet the 4 YEAR NON-CANCELLABLE LEASE can ruin a small business! Once locked into a contract both for the lease and processing, good luck getting out of it. EMG/FAPS will ruin your credit AND can black list your business from taking credit cards!!!!!
EMG and JIM VISOKY know that 99% of the reps will not stick araound once they realize how the business works, leaving the residual income for the co. Most all other processors give their reps LIFETIME RESIDUALS.
So, EMG hires you, makes you train, attend meetings 3 x week and 500+ phone calls per week ALL WITHOUT PAY, AS WELL AS DRIVE YOUR OWN CAR TO APPS, USE YOUR OWN CELL PHONE, AND LAPTOP COMPUTER. Oh yes, and the only way you can sign a deal is with Jim's phenomenal bid tool to show merchants how much they can save with EMG!!! This bid tool is based on lies! Jim created it, is proud of it, but has screwed countless businesses with it.
FAPS, the parent company does NOTHING to stop the dishonest practices, ignores employee complaints.......
I would very much like to get in on a class action suit to stop these theives. If you know of one, please respond immediately.
