After my parnter received the initial used Italian Comprehensive I Course on CDs from Pimsleur Marketplace, We used and then he returned the items, following the directions and requirements, which are quite specific and complex, and submitted a request to receive the next Course, Italian Comprehensive II Course, on CD.

The first course was sent back on January 7, 2014.  According to the USPS tracking system, Elite Commerce, Inc. received the course on January 10, 2014.  After waiting very patiently, my partner tried calling, but the message on the answering system indicated that the company does not have many employees and that email is a more reliable way of reaching them.  So, my partner sent an email inquiring about the status of the next course and when we might expect to receive it.  This is the content of the email:

I purchased a set of the USED Italian Comprehensive 1 on CD in April 2013. My original order was #44450. I decided to take advantage of the Buy Back program, and returned the CD's (including original case, booklet, and forms for ordering another set). I sent everything via USPS Priority Mail on January 7, 2014. According to the USPS tracking info, the package was delivered on January 10 to the Buy Back program in Idaho Falls.

As of today, I have not received any confirmation or information regarding the status of my return order. I indicated on the Buy Back form that I wanted to apply the buy-back to the purchase of a Used Italian Comprehensive II on CD.

I would appreciate hearing something from someone at Pimsluer Marketplace.

We did receive your course, but the Italian 2 was not available in used condition.  It has now come in, though.  We'll get this sent right out to you.  It should be to you in about 7 business days.

We waited again.  As of now, April 15, 2014, we still do not have the CDs.  We also have had no response to this email sent after waiting for the course for two weeks:

Note, the sentence "I set used sets of Italian 2 on your website all the time" is as sent.  Clearly, my partner meant to type "I see used sets of Italian 2 on your website all the time" and that is a typo.  I did not want to modify anything I'm sharing, except to remove names and email addresses, because it would cast doubt on the veracity of my complaint.

I really would like to continue learing some Italian.  I'm beyond unhappy with the lack of response from this company and the fact that it seems the only time anyone receives any kind of satisfaction, based on what I've read on this site, is when the person complains in a public forum.  By the way, in spite of advertising that they are a Better Business Bureau A+ Rated company, I do not find them listed as such on the BBB website.  In fact, that site says:

This Business is not BBB accredited

So, Doug Hall, since you seem quite active when someone files a complaint on here, I'm hoping you will respond to this complaint by sending us the next course without any more delay. The data is all in the orignal email, so you shouldn't have trouble accessing this in your records.

Otherwise, I shall pursue other options to address this issue.
