I was contacted by Elite Entertainment in October of 2007 to perform as a bellydancer at Bootsies Saloon in Port Orange for biketoberfest. I arrived on location and was greeted by Lance (the company owner) and his wife. I worked at the Saloon along with other dancers and hostesses of varying media for 3 days. There was never a contract signed but I was to be paid $550. I was told that the check that bootsies paid to Lance would take 7 days to clear and that he would be in contact with me after that. I had left medical supplies that I needed on location and had to threaten police contact to recieve that back. When that was returned to me I was met at a walgreens and I was told that they were in the hole and did not have the money to pay thier employees and that Lance was going up north to host shows in Michigan for hunting season that they would be in contact with me afterwards then they left. Since then I have not heard from anyone none of my calls are being returned and I know for a fact that the hostess that worked with me has not been paid either. They did not have me fill out any kind of tax form and the entire situation is a scam. The entire family makes a profit off of the performers talent and then tries to use pity to compell you to be okay with it. I have been in contact with every Elite Entertainment in this country and none of them have ever herd of a Lance or of myself. Do not work for this company or hire this company to host/provide talent for your event.
