Elite installed HVAC in new home (2002), unit stopped working that summer due to restriction in line, claimed to have fixed, but next summer, it stopped working again due to some form of contaminate in line. Claimed to have fixed it this time. Summer of 2005, stopped working again, claiming to have a leak and faulty TXV service valve. Elite states unit is not under service warranty of 1yr, and parts are not under Bryants warranty. Unit has never worked properly since installation. Elite installed a new faulty unit, and will not cover charges. Elite Service Tech stated that leaks most ofter can not be detected until after 1 yr, which is coinsidently after the 1yr warranty.

Elite WAS a Bryant dealer...now they are a Carrier dealer.

Therefore, Elite did install the equipment above...

Elite, save your souls and stop the lying!!!

Proverbs 26:23-28

Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart. Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling. ...

We love your work.  For years you have dong our work and our neighborhood.  We know the owners personally and the many crews.  You keep the same employees for years which shows a lot in this economy.  God bless you all for keeping so many people with jobs in these hard times.  I know its hard to please people especially when you all do a lot of builders work.  The builder wants the work done one way then sells the home and the home owner wishes it were done another way.  There in lies the trouble.  The homeowner becomes mad at the HVAC contractor who did nothing wrong.  Most mature people can figure that out and make the appropriate changes offered by Elite.  As in all areas of life though, many people want something for free and unfortunately, we are unable to accomodate those people.  Thanks for all you do at Elite.  We will continue to sing your praise and use your services.  I'm think your patience is overly nice, I would drop the whiners in a heart beat at my business.  I don't even try to please the headaches like the guys in the articles.  I could care less what they write.  I know I always have my true customers no matter what.  Take Care.

Elite Heating A/C & Refrigeration, Inc., serves over 200 builders and thousands of homeowners in Indiana and Kentucky.  Elite strives to satisfy all of its customers. While reading the adds here I can tell you that the information in the reports is incorrect.  On the "mysterious noise in the line" report, we went out to the home owner in Palmyra Indiana 3 separate occasions trying to hear the noise referenced by the homeowner.  The noise would never replicate itself.  The homeowner was given the owners cell phone and advised to call day or night so that we could hear the noise and attempt to fix the problem.  Elite does not manufacture the equipment but installs equipment.  Elite and the suppliers will go above and beyond attempting to satisfy homeowners and builders and make them happy customers.  This obviously did not happen here with this customer and for that we are sorry.  Being one of the largest companies in HVAC in the area we know we cannot satisfy everyone but it still bothers me when I try everything we know and the homeowner is not happy.  We wish you the best and still are always willing to attempt to fix any problem you have.  Our door is always open for our customers.  Best of Luck.

As for the incident titled the Original report, I spoke to the owner who states he is unaware of your incident.  If you would like to contact Elite we would be interested in seeing if your complaint can be satisfied.  We can tell by what you have written you have mis-information because the warranty dates are incorrect and we do not sell Bryant equipment but instead we sell Carrier.  Best of Luck.

Elite Heating Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Inc.
Employees happy to be working and striving for peace.

Hey, what do ya know, another dissatisfied customer. I just happened to google Elite today, looking for any information on them I could find and up pops your rip-off report. My situation sounds similar. Elite Heating and Air also installed the HVAC system in my newly built home and I too have had ongoing issues.

Starting the fist winter in the home we started hearing very loud popping and banging noises from the ductwork. I mean loud. I've heard the symptom referred to as oil canning. It's like the metal duct flexing in and then popping back out to make a loud banging sound. This would go on during a heating cycle and after and we had several places in the ductwork where this was happening. We even had some areas where simply walking across the floor would produce banging sounds from the ductwork.

We had Elite send out a tech twice, maybe three times. What a waste of time that was. Their solution was to try to screw these metal braces across points in the ductwork. None of it made any difference. I tried to explain to them that I thought the ductwork was installed improperly. They would hear nothing of it.

Finally, we got sick of it, realizing what kind of company we were dealing with. So we called in our own contractors to give us their opinion. Every single one of them said that the ductwork wasn't done properly. The way one contractor described it, the ductwork wasn't installed using industry standard techniques. Basically, they installed the supply and return trunk lines so tightly against the floor joists above that there is no room for expansion and contraction of the metal and this would also explain why the ductwork would pop when walking across the floor. There should be a small space left between the ductwork and the floor joists that it's hanging from. They also, installed the supply and return trunk lines, very tightly screwed to each other. Those two trunk lines should be separate, not attached to each other. We still haven't been able to get the problems resolved, not by the builder or Elite.

I find it interesting that you also have a problem in a new construction where Elite installed the HVAC. Obviously these aren't isolated incidents. I wonder who your builder/general contractor was.

Some things I have learned the hard way with my new home building experience Many of these builders don't choose their subs because they're good at what they do but because they're the lowest bidder. When you talk to other contractors you learn that they can't get business with the builders because they can't compete with the rock bottom bids of the incompetent contractors that the builders end up using.

Then, even though the homeowner is made to believe they have a warranty on the house that covers everything, they can't manage to get the builder or the subs to fix any of it. I am serious when I say that if you're thinking of building a new home don't. Or at least wait. The state of the industry right now is absolutely pathetic.

Elite also currently has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB. 2 no response and 2 unresolved. Go figure.
