Richard Bakke is a complete thief Fraud.

My story is very simular though it would take me forever to list all the details.

Basically Richard sold us a Range Rover which he roled back the mileage on, he rebuilt the transmission on it and lied when we asked about this before we purchased it, it had major fuel line leaks that he temporarly sealed with putty, which I had to pull over because an officer informed me I was at very High risk of my vehicle catching on fire.  The rims were so bent (we discoverd this when we had a flat on the tires he was supposed to replace before he sold it to us.  National Tire would not replace the tire on the rim because it was agains state law.  There is so much more..this man takes parts from other Ranger Rovers he has and replaced them on the cars he is selling just to get them out the door.  I have found out he is not allowed to be selling vehicles in the state of texas because of prior offenses.  He has conned two Spurs players as well they purchased two high end vehicles, Richard Bakke commite fraud when he collected the tax on these vehicles and pockets it..basicaly for example he sold a vehicle at 100,000, but when he went to get the title  transferred etc he claimed he sold it for half the price in order to keep the tax money, if that makes any sense...he was convicted on this and was ordered not to sell cars in the state of texas.  He did this to us as well...we paid a large amount on tax but when we received our paper work he claimed he sold it for less than what we gave him.

I want to put this man in jail....I have so much information to be able to do this, just need the credibility of others that have been hurt by this ruthless man.  He is not worried about being sued because he has so many liens agains him, one will not see the money they are owed.  But one thing is he can be put in jail...Please please contact me I am not sure how to leave my contact info, but I am really eager to speak to the person that posted their story before mine.  vendila_tennant@yahoo if that helps..I simply made that email up in hopes someone will contact me to discuss persuing this further.  Please excuse my rambling while telling my story, it might not be as clear and descriptive as I would like it to be, but I just hope it helps someone.  This man is a complete fraud and has other business helping him commit his crimes.  If you want to report him to the DMV do not report him locally as he has friends that work there, you must report him to the Austin, Texas location.

I will no longer continue to play your game Richard! People all I ask is that you do an internet search on this man before you consider buying from him! Richard Bakke... Elite Imports, oh I also forgot to mention he changes his company name from time to time. Elite Motor Imports, Elite Imports, Elite Automotive and who know what other name he's used. I have no benefit from my posting other than to hopefully prevent someone from going through the horrible experience I did.

False Statements

I am writing in response to this report.First of all we purchased the car from auction.Upon inspection we noticed the transmittion had an issue.Instead of selling it with a potential problem we addressed the problem and sold the vehicle with a 12 month warranty on the transmittion.Secondly I have signed odometer statements from where we purchased the vehicle and when we sold the the vehicle. This is clearly a false statement. As with every sale we suggest that the buyer have the vehicle checked over by a mechanic of their choice. The buyer test drove the car extensively before the purchase. If there was a bent wheel,of which the wheels are aluminium,it would have been very obvious.A fuel leak was never mentioned. If there had been a previous repair it was not done at our shop. This was never mentioned.Twenty years ago I had an employee who we caught forging signatures and embezzeling from the business. She was found guilty and prosecuted.I have been in the car business for 30 years.Always right here.I offer our customers the choice of new or used parts on repair. We specialize in Land Rovers. They are expensive to repair and we give our customers an option.I have hundreds of customers that I have taken care of for years and now am servicing their families.A few repeat customers have purchased as many as 15 vehicles from me.We have a cliental from some of the most prominent people in San Antonio and all over the country.

Absolute LIE again!!!

Absolutely everything you stated "Richard" not ex employee is again another lie! I am not here posting for any other reason but to alert the consumer!!! This man has gone to so many extremes, he has stolen identies of his own loved ones. These people have contacted me personnally because of their own lawsuits against this ruthless man. If one would like to verify what I am stating google his name attach the words spurs player auto fraud or check his arrests. Those reports speak a thousand words. Simply to a back hround check!

Richard we came back to you within a week of purchasing the piece of junk!! People he also has his vehicles for sale on ebay, a gentleman posted on there that he waa sold a Mercedez with roled back miles. His business name is also now listed under his secretary's name because he is not allowed to sell cars in the state of texas. If you buy a car from him you will notice it is nit his signature om the forms. People, his fraudulent practices are being watch by authorities, in no time.... Soon enough theu will build a big enough case to put this many in jail and forever out of business.
