I should have know from the beginning when he didn't show up to our 1st appointment. He made a ton of promises and never followed through with them. It took 3 voice mails to even get a copy of the contract and when I did, it was wrong.
After several phone calls and emails he finally called me back after 3 weeks. There was a song list that he didn't follow. He didn't play my Fathers 1 & only request at the wedding.
I paid extra for him to come to rehearsal and the only thing he did was play me the music that he was supposed to email me weeks prior. He left before I could have my wedding party go over there entrance songs. So they were not even introduced the day of the wedding.
There are a few more incidents that I can go on and on about but I won't. I would NOT Recommend him for your wedding! I would have rather gone without the stress!

Gary never responded to emails, and when he finally did I had a bunch of questions and he joked that it may be more than he could handle when he agreed to sign $500 a budget bride. Rude.
He never responded so I wasn't sure how the day would coordinated so my coordinator said she would deal with him. That helped. I told him I didn't like club music, music from the last 10 years and I wanted more oldies, "wedding music" and he played "I like big butts". He didn't play music for the older crowd and they were asking me what was up with that. Basically he didn't listen to my requests. He didn't do my garter/bouquet toss, so I had to remind him at the end and he didn't play our songs requested.
i hate surprises, he called us up for a money dance without me knowing. I think they are tacky and I don't like asking ppl for money and I didn't want it and I don't think it was his call to do that without my permission.
the worst part of it all though, and why I'm filing this reply to this rip off report, is because my matron of honor called me last night and told me that he got to the ceremony super late, and didn't even do the music. The wedding coordinator did the music And I never noticed he wasn't there cuz I never looked for him. That means that when I went to give him his payment and tip (even tho he didn't deserve one) he said "I was going to knock some $ off cuz there was some technical difficulties and the officiant didn't get a wireless mic, he got a wired mic." He took all my money when he only provided half of the services, not telling me about the fact that he didn't do the ceremony music! What a crook!

All in All, Everyone had a blast at the wedding. Despite our differences Gary did show up as a professional and no one knew any conflicts had happened between us. I just want to wipe the slate clean and let go of the small stuff. That day I ended up marrying my best friend and nothing else mattered. We celebrated our love for each other and Gary - Elite Music Works shared it with us & the rest of our family & friends.

Hello, I am Gary Boeldt, the owner and Senior DJ of Elite Music Works Mobile DJ services. Please read the following statement about the comments made by this client. Elite Music Works provides a written Contract, that Contract has specific guidelines and timelines which place a reasonable expectation on all of our clients to provide us certain information, in a timely manner, in order for us to provide the GUARANTEE that I personally stand behind. A clients signature, as well as their paid deposit on that contract represents the clients agreement and understanding of those terms and obligations which allow us to fulfill our service agreement. Although it is not our wish to refute a clients "feelings" about our services, we will stand behind our end of the Contracted agreement to the fullest. In this case the clients failure to meet certain deadlines as well as specific appointment timelines made it impossible for my self to meet her expectations as her DJ. In a last minute attempt to salvage the situation she and I agreed to meet prior to the Wedding rehearsal one day before the Wedding, in order to go over the Wedding Music playlist, which is paramount for me to be able to provide the music the client desires. This was only necessary because the client failed to meet the required two week minimum deadline for mailing in the music list, as well as the final payment, which she assumed had been paid but upon review their was a remaining balance which consequently had to be paid the day of the Wedding by personal check (a fact that the client failed to mention actually invalidates the contract completely, I would have been within my right per the contract to walk off from the event, yet I personally decided to go through with the event not knowing if I was going to be paid or not, and I did this as a gesture based on good faith". In the end, she did not show up early for the Rehearsal for our time to go through the playlist as planned, and as a matter of fact she did not show up on time for the rehearsal, and she did not pay me as she stated for the rehearsal, because I was on my own time without payment for the extra 45 minutes I and the entire Wedding party, Groom, and Parents waited for her to arrive, so after the agreed upon Rehearsal time, including the early meeting we were to have had, I had waited an additional 60 minutes after our actual appointment time. She "elected" to not pay the additional time allotment for (Me) Elite Music Works to provide the services that I was prepared to offer at the specified time. So regardless of this clients statements, Elite Music Works was on time for this appointment, was prepared to provide the necessary services, and even stayed on the premises of the arranged location an additional 45 minutes more on my own time, to at least consult with the tardy client and thus go over at least the Ceremony music. The clients extreme tardiness for their own rehearsal is directly accountable to the complaints that she is holding Elite Music Works accountable, and I feel she is directly responsible for the complaints that are being made regarding the announcements, the Fathers song request, and ultimately her feeling of not recommending me.
