Elite Singles has a cancellation policy.  In my state, a three-day cooling off law exists. 

However, I was not on the site daily.  On the 4th day of membership, I discovered that I am unable to set a search parameter for matches

I'm retired, moved to a new town in which to retire and making new friends over 50 miles away makes no sense to me. I did not know this before purchasing a membership.  I did not think to ask before my purchase since this site supposedly focuses on seniors. 

How can you get face-to-face conversation or impromptue meetings for coffee with someone if you live 50+ miles away from you?  Worthless service to me.

When I contacted Customer Care, I asked how large is their database?  How many members are male?  The response from the Customer Care Department was that they could not tell me.  Then I got a lecture on how the company feels we best connect to make new friends.  I disagree.  Frequent contact, face-to-face over time is how you make a new friend. 

This service is worthless to me without being able to set a search parameter
