Elocal, Elocal Listing is Incredibly... Horrible! Temecula California
Google and Yahoo search engines. It's only going to cost you $168 (setup of $79 PLUS bill you for first month) for the first month and then $89 each month after that. Sounds pretty good, right? Well, here is our experience with the company. They were very quick to return our calls to get our business but then after they received our credit card info it was like they fell off the face of the earth. My wife and I both called them repeatedly and it took us about a week to actually talk to someone. We were told that we would receive a call back and EVERY SINGLE TIME NO ONE CALLED BACK! We had to continually hound them to get anything done.
And then once we realized they were not a legit company, they refused to cancel our account. I tried canceling with them four days in a row and although I was told that we were "officially canceled" I would later receive a call with someone from Elocal offering to give us a better monthly rate. I asked if the account was canceled and the lady told me it was not. So after reading other people's horror stories I finally canceled the credit card that I gave them so they wouldn't be able to charge my card anymore. It has been such a hassle dealing with this company and a complete waste of time for my business. We are still not listed anywhere near the top three spots on google or yahoo (they also changed what the sales scammer told us to just being listed).
Also, Elocal is simply doing something that every business owner can do for free. If you go to Yahoo or Google's local business listing, you can submit your business info so people will find it in the local listing. You can submit photos and put all of the info you want customers to see about your business. Google and Yahoo do not charge a dime for this and it will take you less than 5 minutes to do it yourself. Or you can pay the geniuses at Elocal to set you up for $168 (lower now because people and competition are on to them) and then they will continue to charge your card and give you the runaround when you decide to cancel.

Carolee, you need to take a step back and separate the truth from the lies. What you consider fallacies on these boards are actual dirty laundry of the company and they are all true or else you can go after these people for liable or defamation of character. The Company's inability to pursue litigation only illustrates that 99% of what is mentioned here is actually true.
The truth is that you took a BS product form some idiot that stole it from somewhere else and you guys tried to run with it and package it. Problem is, the same idiot was competing head to head with eLocal and despite numerous attempts from other employees to warn you about SE and GR (yes that right, they work together) you insist in believing in their garbage and now the company is going to sink. Oh and every now and then I would here(specifically from Todd) Oh Reach is trying to recruit him. Don't make me laugh, he is the one applying at different places and is getting rejected. How much did you pay for the BuzzSpot scam? How much did the investors loose on that so called Geniuses idea? I cannot believe that till today, the w***e CREW is still there. It is amazing Marie does not hire anyone anymore, its all done through MR's group. Why is that? Is it because MR already is with a now former eLocal employee? The whole place is garbage, you hired and kept the scum and got rid of some true talent. Oh well, you will soon end up like KB Toys and the others, I am not worried but without funding how else can the company keep going? Sales are dropping like crazy and retention rates are GONE. Good luck, remember, what comes around goes around. Next time you decide to keep the trash employed despite all the sexual harassment complaints, maybe you will think twice and actually do something about it instead of writing someone up (that's a joke).
