Complaint Review: Emachines

Emachines falsely advertised computer speeds, and they don't care who it hurts.

I bought an Emachines 333cs computer. It was advertised and sold as a 333mhz, but I found out it was actually 250mhz. When I asked them about it, they admitted it and said it was to cut costs. They gave me the run-around several times, lying about not having a 1-800 number, then telling me to call and putting me on hold forever. I started out asking for nothing but a confirmation of the cpu speed. Since not even an apology was offered, I decided I at least wanted an upgrade to the 333mhz that I paid for. Since nothing has been done about it in almost 6 months, I have posted this article and put up a web page.
If you own an Emachines computer, find out the cpu speed (you can do this with any clock speed checking program which is easily found when searched for on the net). If your cpu is slower than what they said, email me to get on the growing list of people just like you.
If you own a Emachines 333cs, you have been robbed for sure. Feel free to go to my page and email me to get on the list of victims or get more info.
