Normally I pay my SBC bill online and didn't notice that for four months a $16.52 charge appeared on my billing. I contacted the phone company and the charges were hidden to them so I had a paper bill sent with itemization. Integretal, Inc. stated the charges came from a company named Email Discount Network.

The customer service representative at EDN states that not only did I authorize the charges, but a confirmation e-mail sent to my Hotmail account. When I investigated further, I was told that the information and supposed authorization was from the website productestpanel.com, which normally sends me surveys. It bothers me greatly that my personal information I've shared with productestpanel for surveys has been used by EDN to supposedly dupe people into "authorizing" service they have no idea they're signing up for.

I saw another person from Michigan who had the exact same problem with their SBC billing being charged by this company and I'd be interested in seeing how many others have been duped by this company. I've been assured that my $66 will be credited back to my phone bill in 1-7 business days, but I will be following up.

looks as if anyone who complains here about EDN receives the same e-mail response. They sure don't care about their un-ethical business practices.

If EDN really did care, they would apologize and respond with something else than a form letter. It's businesses like these that the consumer must be cognizant of every little detail they receive on a billing statement.
