Additional charges to my phone bill began months ago, via a secondary company, The Billing Resource, who appears to have an agreement with "baby bell" telecommunication companies to attach charges to unsuspecting customers from accounts created illegally by "Email Discount Network"---hidden charges not/not ever agreed to by the phone customers.

To complain to the phone company is totally ineffective; they in turn refer you to the intermediate biller, The Billing Resource... yet another middleman to further frustrate the poor unsuspecting customer.

I contacted the middleman billing company. While the charges via "The Billing Resource" were then credited to my phone bill, the additional taxes for the illegal charges had to be reported separately back to the phone company.

What a runaround. Three companies in cahoots to ripoff clients who in good faith rely on their telephone company for excellent service.... not to be ripped off, and who then don't take responsibility for attaching extra charges. Isn't it bad enough that phone bills include MORE taxes and EXTRAS than actual telecommunication services.

When I attempted to "quit" the "ghost" account from the "Email Discount Network" website, my ghost account doesn't exist, and therefore I can't "unsubscribe" to the illegal service. Emailing to their "support" email address prompts impersonal, and further frustrating, standard replies... another "blockade" to ever unsubscribe to a service never subscribed to in the first place.

Internet users beware. If you ever see "EMAIL DISCOUNT NETWORK" or "THE BILLING RESOURCE". Report them to your Congress representatives, Senators, Governors, phone company CEOs... whoever it takes to get some decent action against illegal companies who prey on internet users.

I just hope that by reporting Email Discount Network via "Rip-off", that "ripoff" is not also included in a conspiracy against the poor unsuspecting citizen.
