The hotel left us a receipt under the door for our stay at the hotel when I got back home we checked the account the next day. I found out instead of the $131.10. The bill was $150.77 we did not use anything in the hotel that wasn't free or included into the price of the hotel room. I called the hotel twice to find out what the extra amount was for. I know it's not much but that's my money and I would like to know why?

It's just what they charge to hotel room when people stay here. We are still waiting for the itemized bill they explained unless people ask we just give them what you received. Work won't pay until they receive itemized bill so still waiting.

Receipt? You should have received an itemized bill

I've stayed at a variety of hotels and even motels. I've always received a BILL, not a receipt, that reflects itemized charges. Did you not get a bill that shows the charges? I'm just in amazement of this complaint. I find it hard to believe that not only did you not get a bill that shows your exact charges, but also that you called and were not able to get information regarding what the additional charges were for. A hotel clerk has only to look at their computer screen to tell you that information.

Could the final number be a result of taxes being applied to the rate? After doing some math, the difference between the two amounts comes to exactly 15% of the room rate. If you combine the local, state sales and bed tax I bet that is the percentage you get, not being from there, I cannot tell you for sure but it is too much of a coincident that the amount is exacly 15% . Also, check your reciept as any and all charges, however discreet, will show up here. If they don't you have a case, otherwise I wish you happy hunting. Also, records are kept at the hotel level of all charges by all guests. Generally, these records are kept for five years. Ask to speak with the front office manager and if they are worth their salt, they'll be able to tell you exactly how this charge came about. hope this helps

Embassy Suites has a special on unlimited porn for $15.95/day+ tax. That pretty much equals your disputed amount. The promo on Hilton TV states that it will be billed discreetly to your room.

Your husband most likely ordered the porn when you went to sleep. The hotel is ignoring you because they don't want to get your husband in trouble.

In the future though, your husband should just go down and pay cash in advance. That way, there is no record of the activity.
