This Emerald Hostel in Budapest is a pure scam. Do NOT in any case provide your credit card details directly or via booking.com to them. They'll charge you as they interprate their cancelation policy as they wish. The hostel is in a very bad condition and don't believe what you see on the internet.
They decieved me telling they'll change the dates manually but did nothing and eventually charged illegally.
Emerald Hostel in Budapest has zero Customer Service, no attitude at all, unwillingness to refund even after dispute. Pure ripoff in a very illegal way. Very bad I'm back to my country and can't hire a lawyer in Hungary to charge them for all this.
The amount isn't large but that combined with the attitude they have is the reason I'm willing to write about them all over so they don't get any customers or whenever they get they treat legally..
I repeat. Do not provide your credit card details in any way to this people. They will charge you no matter what.
