I had an account with Providian Aria and paid it off and told them to close the account out Sept 2002. Well they did but in turn gave or sold it to Emerge Co. Oct.2002. It had a .98 cent credit to me when Emerge got it.
Emerge sent me an email and lied that there was no credit to me it's a paltry sum but that could have been $9800 etc.
I have requested numerous times for them to close this account because I didn't open it. I sent them all the info that they requested to close it and still it's not closed. It's even on my credit report showing as an open account. It shows as Emerge/Pvn, po box 105655, atlanta ga 30348 with 0000000000000000 the first of the account # and showing on file as of 9/1999 and current thru 5/2003.
I told them also that if they didn't close this account that I would notify the Attorney generals office and that is why I am sending you this. Maybe you can open their eyes trying to call them is like trying to call GOD, cannot get to human ears. Thank You
